Haridwar

Haridwar is the holiest city and a major Hindu pilgrimage in the Country, located in the state Uttarakhand. Every year huge numbers of pilgrims use to come here to seek blessings and remove sins. According to Hindu myth, Haridwar is a place where accidentally a few drops of holy water (amrita) were dropped by Dhanwantari while carrying. There is a belief that the place where the nectar was dropped is considered as Brahma Kund in Har ki Pauri. People believe that it is the holiest ghat in Haridwar.
